This page is up-to-date as of MythTV version 0.27.6, the current release is 36.0

Upgrading from the preceding version should be transparent. Any changes to the database structure should be applied automatically. Be sure to review the Release Notes (when upgrading to the current version, use the direct link at the top of this page).

Upgrades which span multiple versions may require the upgrade to be run in steps, for example upgrading from v28 to v36 would require an upgrade from v28 to v34 and then an upgrade from v34 to v36. Be sure to review all of the Release Notes for the versions between the currently installed and the target versions.

It is strongly recommended that you back up your database before installing a new version of MythTV. See Saving or Restoring the database for instructions.
